All spa facial treatments and chemical peels begin with a consultation to discuss your skin’s unique needs and goals. Your clinician will tailor your treatments to treat specific skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation, redness, and aging.
Facials may consist of a deep cleanse, steam, exfoliation, extractions if needed, massage, and masking. They are performed with pharmaceutical grade ingredients for optimal results. Your provider will help you decide which spa facial treatment is best for your skin.
Chemical peels can be customized to treat your skin concerns such as acne or sun damage. During a peel, a chemical such as salicylic acid is applied directly to the skin in a series of layers and either left upon the skin or neutralized and removed after a specific time.
*If you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters, or you are currently using topical retinols please notify your clinician before your spa facial treatment!
Following your facial, your skin may be slightly flushed, but in most cases, it will be soft, hydrated, and vibrant for up to 10 days! Depending on the condition of your skin, spa facials are recommended every four to eight weeks to keep your skin clean, exfoliated, healthy, and glowing.
Immediately after your chemical peel it is normal for your skin to be slightly flushed for up to 48 hours depending on the strength of your peel. With most peels, light flaking of the skin will begin two days after treatment and last up to a week. It is important not to pick or pull flaking skin. Your provider will discuss proper homecare after your spa treatment.
Peels can be performed once a month, and it is wise to plan around your social schedule to avoid flaking during important events. When done in succession, chemical peels can help clear acne, smooth fine lines, reduce unwanted pigment, and restore a beautiful radiance to the skin!
