Electrolysis Hair Removal

The only FDA approved form of permanent hair removal on the market to get you smooth, soft, and razor free for good!

Process

As the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal, electrolysis allows you to remove unwanted hair and free yourself from the constant and endless cycle of shaving, waxing, or plucking. It works by destroying hair growth tissue within the hair shaft with a small zap of heat/electricity at the base of the follicle through a very fine, flexible probe.

At Eau Claire spa, we can safely treat all skin and hair types, colors, and textures. This even includes abnormal hair growth (Hirsutism) caused by hereditary, metabolic, and/or hormonal conditions.

All electrolysis appointments begin with a thorough consultation to discuss your medical history, your area(s) of concern, and to assess your overall needs. Ideally, you will arrive to this spa appointment having not plucked, tweezed, or waxed the hairs in the treatment area for the past few weeks. Our clinicians set up individual treatment plans customized for each patient allowing us to map out your ideal plan for best results!

Results

Immediately after your spa treatment, your skin may be slightly red, swollen, and tender. You may use a cool compress or hydrocortisone cream if needed, but most clients return to their normal activities immediately. You can cover any residual redness with makeup and sun protection is highly recommended.

Although you will see reduction from just one spa treatment, multiple treatments will be needed to achieve complete clearance. Hair has three cycles of growth: anagen (when hair is actively growing); catagen (the transitional phase); and telogen (the resting phase).  These cycles of growth occur at different intervals for every area of the body. For example, the active growth phase of underarm hair is only three weeks, yet for the chin it is 10 weeks. These phases of hair growth require multiple treatments to permanently clear an area.  Your licensed electrologist will determine how frequently you will return and at what intervals of time to see the best clearance.
